Here you will find pictures of my artwork. I have varied subject matter - portraits, still life, interiors and exteriors - in different techniques including colored pencil, collage and oil. If I had to sum up what my art is about, I would say it is an exploration of the mystery of our connections. This includes our bonds to one another, our surroundings, our pets, ourselves and our possessions.
I spent most of my life in New York, where I received an MFA degree in printmaking from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. While living in Manhattan I exhibited at the Chuck Levitan Gallery. I was an art critic for Resident Publications, and an adjunct professor of Art History at St. Francis College. My design of a poinsettia was published as a UNICEF Christmas card. In 2019 I was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from Marquis Who's Who.
My husband, Dennis Burvant, and I make our home in Florida. We live with a long-haired tuxedo cat named Samson, and with Angel - a sulfur crested cockatoo.
