Here you will find pictures of my artwork. I have varied subject matter - portraits, still lifes, interiors and exteriors - in different techniques including colored pencil, collage and oil. If I had to sum up what my art is about, I would say it is an exploration of the mystery of our connections. This includes our bonds to one another, our pets, ourselves and our possessions.
I spent most of my life in New York, where I received an MFA degree in printmaking from Pratt Institute. While living in Manhattan I exhibited in a number of galleries, and worked as an art critic and adjunct professor of Art History. One of my designs was published as a Christmas card for UNICEF. Recently I was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from Marquis Who's Who.
My husband, Dennis Burvant, and I now make our home in St Petersburg, Florida. We have recently opened a studio and gallery at Gaslight Square. Visitors are welcome!
